Jacob M. Morse has joined the firm’s Raleigh office

Miller Law Group, PLLC is pleased to announce that Jacob M. Morse has joined the firm’s Raleigh office as an attorney in the firm’s personal injury and employment law practice groups.

A skilled litigator, Jacob assists clients with cases involving wrongful death, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination. Clients benefit from his innovative and creative approach to dispute resolution and trial advocacy, as well as his pragmatic view of potential outcomes and case risk assessment. He relishes the opportunity to represent clients in a court of law.

“Jacob will be a major asset to our clients, particularly through his ability to make persuasive legal arguments and his skill in effective negotiation. His background includes experience in class action settlement negotiations and high-stakes breach of contract litigation, as well as arbitrations, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution,” said W. Stacy Miller II, Managing Partner of the firm.

Jacob has represented a wide range of commercial and individual clients before United States District Courts and Superior and District Courts across North Carolina. His experience includes litigating a class action tort case, defending a contentious will contest action, pursuing claims for damages in a large commercial lease lawsuit, and arbitrating a complex software contract performance dispute.

He routinely represents clients in need of pro bono legal representation through Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Volunteer Lawyers Program. Jacob also regularly coaches competitive mock trial teams at his alma mater, Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of law, where he has led two teams to national championship accolades. In 2017, he earned his J.D., cum laude, after being selected as the school’s inaugural recipient of the full-tuition Leadership Scholar Award. Prior to attending law school, Jacob earned in 2014 his B.A. in Public Policy and Political Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as Student Body Vice President and gave the Department of Public Policy’s Student Commencement Address.

Prior to joining Miller Law Group, Jacob was a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group at Wyrick Robbins Yates & Ponton, LLP.
