Her practice areas include personal injury, medical malpractice, sexual assault, business litigation, products and medical device liability, environmental toxins, trucking and transportation, products liability, premises liability, and unfair trade practices. She believes in standing up for what is right and just and has devoted much of her life to battling injustices and promoting women’s rights.
Gloria grew up in Greenville, North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A. 1996). She graduated from Campbell University U.D. 2000), cum laude, and was on the Campbell Law Review. In addition to litigating cases for the past 23 years, she has been active in giving back to both her professional and personal community. She served as a board member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, where she was Co-chair of the Medical Malpractice committee, and she has been invited to instruct at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and has served as a moot court and trial advocacy judge in various law school competitions. She was recently awarded the honor of being named Best Lawyers in America, 2023, and has also been honored in Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers, Rising Star.
Gloria currently serves on the YMCA of the Triangle, Board of Directors and Wake Med Foundation Board of Directors. She served on Saint Mary’s School, Board of Trustees, 2009-2019, where she was Board Chair from 2017-2019. She is a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Raleigh, where she served on the Vestry and has been actively involved in outreach and youth ministries. She and her daughters volunteer together at over 30 local charities every year through their involvement with the National Charity League, a mother-daughter volunteer based organization that serves local philanthropies such as Salvation Army, Helen Wright Women’s Center, Diaper Train, Green Chair and many more.
Gloria is married to her husband, Mike, and they live in Raleigh with their 3 children.
