Nursing Home Injuries and Abuse Are Rampant: Our Top-Rated Nursing Home Lawyers Fight Back

At any given time, nearly 1.5 million American senior citizens live in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and memory care programs.

Sadly, one federal study found that 70% of all state inspections off nursing homes miss at least one critical deficiency that could lead to abuse, and up to FIFTEEN PERCENT miss incidents of “actual harm and immediate jeopardy of a nursing home resident.”

North Carolina has adopted the Adult Care Home Resident’s Bill of Rights to try and combat these abuses, many of which are committed by other residents at the same facility. The law specifically requires that every resident has the right “to be free of mental and physical abuse, neglect, and exploitation.” (NCGS 131D-21)

This Bill of Rights provides a set of safety rules that we all have to follow. However, safety rules are only effective if lawyers and juries force companies to respect and follow those rules when someone is hurt.

Our lawyers have over 50 years of combined experience with all sorts of personal injury claims. One area where are often forced to file suit, however, is in the area of nursing home abuse. The companies that own these facilities simply ignore the law and then won’t take responsibility.  That’s where we come in.

If a loved one has suffered injury or abuse in a nursing home, contact us today for a free, no-risk evaluation of the claim. We only get paid if we get you a recovery, and we’ll help you navigate this complicated and often unfair area of the law. Contact us by clicking here or call us at 919-348-4361.
