Whistleblowers who report fraud against the government are performing a courageous civic function.  The False Claims Act permits whistleblowers to report fraud against the government and rewards whistleblowers by allowing  whistleblowers to receive a percentage of any recover.

In 2017, the Department of Justice recovered $3.7 Billion Dollars utilizing the False Claims Act.  The large majority of that recovery, $3.4 Billion, was through tips by whistleblowers.  In the health care industry alone, the DOJ recovered $2.4 Billion of fraud and overpayments.

Medicare Fraud, Medicaid Fraud, and Government Contract Fraud represent the most common types of fraud against the government.  Miller Law Group regularly represents and protects whistleblowers rights in false claim actions for Medicaid and Medicare fraud, as well as government contract fraud.

“The real victim is the taxpayer,” says Raleigh, North Carolina whistleblower attorney Stacy Miller, of Miller Law Group. “Whistleblowers are saving the government, and ultimately taxpayers, billions and billions of dollars every year.”
