Whistleblowers can receive an award of up to 25% of any recovery for reporting Medicare and Medicaid fraud.

In separate cases, North Carolina and South Carolina whistleblowers were recently awarded over a MILLION DOLLARS for reporting Medicaid and Medicare fraud.

The federal False Claims Act offers a reward for those who report fraud by allowing the “whistleblower” to receive part of the recovery.  But the whistleblower needs to make sure she/he follows the right procedures or the whistleblower could lose their well-deserved award.
