A recent report by WECT News in Wilmington reveals that North Carolina lead the entire nation in DUI fatalities in 2018, with 412 people killed in drunk driving accidents out of every 100,000 people in the state’s population.

Overall, North Carolina ranked 7th in the nation for the total number of ARRESTS for drunk driving per population of 100,000 people.

South Carolina ranked right below us at 8th overall.

Despite decades of arrests and campaigns by groups like MADD, every 2 minutes, a drunk driver injures someone in the U.S. and every 51 minutes, someone in the U.S. is killed by a drunk driver.
