Introducing Our Summer Associate
The long-awaited summer months have finally arrived meaning longer days, the return of downtown farmers markets, and a new summer associate joins Miller Law Group team. This summer, Matthew Hinson, a rising third year law student at UNC School of Law joins us. Matt, a native of Kinston, North Carolina, wields an impressive beard and never misses an episode of Jeopardy.
During his time with us this summer, Matt will be assisting in all areas of our practice and will have the opportunity to engage with our amazing clients, participate in focus groups and depositions and experience motion hearings and mediations. We are thankful to have him on board with us this summer and excited to introduce him to you.
More About Matt:
Matt received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish with a minor in Rhetoric from Hampden-Sydney College in 2016, where he graduated summa cum laude. While at Hampden-Sydney, Matt was a pitcher on the Varsity Baseball Team, as well as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa, and the Kappa Alpha Order. At Carolina Law, Matt is a member of the Broun National Trial Team, the Holderness Moot Court National Team, the past president of the UNC Christian Legal Society, and the current mentorship director of the McIntyre-Whichard Christian Legal Fellows Mentorship Program.
Outside of the classroom, Matt enjoys hunting and fishing with friends, listening to the Turnpike Troubadours, playing his guitar and mandolin. When he isn’t spending his free time in the Triangle, Matt enjoys going back home to Kinston to visit with family, play with his dogs, Cooper and Belle, and cheer on the Down East Wood Ducks, the local Single A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.
